2026/2027 Adjunct Lecturer - Biology
SUMMARY
SUNY Brockport is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-time adjunct faculty openings in the Department of Biology.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for preparing material and instructing 3-6 hours of lectures per week in biology. Possible courses taught include BIO 111, 221, 201, 202, 321, 322, 323.
- Responsible for 4+ hours of grading per week.
- Responsible for holding office hours for a minimum of 4 hours.
- Engages in experiential and hands-on education when appropriate
- Produces effective course materials
- Achieves student learning outcomes
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in biology or a related field by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in college-level teaching
- Terminal degree preferred

Work Schedule: Variable
Salary and Benefits:
Semester stipend $5,500 per 3 credit course or 3 credit course equivalent. May be benefits eligible. Find out more about benefits at Careers@Brockport.
