Academic Advisor
Job Description
Help students plan their course work toward certificate or degree completion, assess their personal strengths and limitations, learn academic success strategies, explore career, declare a major, learn to navigate the educational system, benefit from campus and community resources, and connect to campus life. The Academic Advisor works with students to implement a personalized success plan and identify available resources and take corrective actions essential for academic success. Assist students with graduation audits, Residency appeals, Unusual Enrollment, and Credit Overload requests. Positions may function within a hybrid or remote model and operate from various CSN sites within the Charleston service region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Liberal Arts, Social Science, or related field from an accredited college/university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year in an Advising related role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college/university.
