Posted Job Title Accountant B Job Profile Title Accountant B Job Description Summary This position is responsible for the day-to-day accounting, billing, and collections for the CCEB ISSF Service Center and Departmental funds totaling over $6 million in annual activity. The position responsibilities include preparation of ISSF invoices and collection of ISSF revenue via journal entry, monthly budget reviews for unrestricted strategic/PSOM funds, providing detailed account reporting for Faculty/management as needed, maintaining comprehensive accounting records in accordance with school policy, and meeting required certification/training and compliance with all federal, university, and school guidelines. This position will also be trained in federal accounting regulations and will be tasked with providing accounting support to the sponsored projects team. This position will be cross-trained between the sponsored programs team and the accounting operations team to assist Grant Managers with constructing grant budgets, providing monthly analyses/reports for faculty portfolios, entering grant budgets into BEN, and running wayward reports and posting correcting journals to grant- and non-grant funds across the CCEB. Job Description Job Responsibilities- Prepare invoices for ISSF users and perform collection and recording of ISSF Service Center revenue through journal entries and maintain comprehensive accounting records in accordance with school policy.
- Assist grants managers with constructing grant budgets, preparing monthly financial analysis reports, for faculty portfolios, entering budget journals, and running wayward reports.
- Conduct monthly budget reviews for unrestricted strategic/PSOM funds and provide detailed account reporting for faculty and management as needed.
- Ensure completion of required certifications/training and maintain compliance with all federal, university, and school guidelines.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
