Accounting Part-Time Instructor Pool 2026-2027
Position Details
The Department of Accounting in the John H. Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa is seeking applications for part-time instructors to teach undergraduate financial accounting and managerial accounting courses (ACC 202 and ACC 203).
Responsibilities will include:
- Teaching one or two course(s) per semester.
- Creating syllabus(es) for students each semester to include learning objectives consistent with The University and the College of Business mission statement (course objectives and sample syllabi provided).
- Providing meeting times for students.
- Managing the online/paperwork grading system, including training prior to the first semester of teaching.
- Meeting with the course coordinator and/or department chair.
A Successful Candidate will have:
- At least 18 graduate credits in accounting are required. A Master's degree in accounting is preferred.
- At least 3 years of full-time experience as a professional accountant.
- Active professional designation such as CPA, CMA, etc., is preferred.
- Teaching experience preferred.
