Position Purpose:
Aurora University seeks talented adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and learning. Adjunct faculty are qualified part-time instructors offered teaching opportunities based on course demand and staffing.
Aurora University is looking for adjunct faculty teach in the Healthcare Administration program, specifically, the HCA Research Methods and Biostatistics course.
Essential Job Functions:
- AU in-person faculty should be present and engaged in courses by doing the following:
- Regular activity and presence in the classroom
- Following closely to the course syllabus
- Meet weekly grading deadlines and maintain up to date gradebooks
- Be responsive to student email messages and requests for assistance
- Provide mentorship in the discipline and content expertise
- Respond to all university and departmental requests, email, messages, and correspondence
Essential Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or higher required.
- Backgrounds in various healthcare areas such as patient safety, research, data entry and analysis.
- Previous teaching experience in person and online in higher education.
Work Hours:
- Currently, this course is scheduled in-person on the AU campus for Fall 2025 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-11:45am, 8/25/2025-12/13/2025.
- Successfully teaching the above course, could lead to additional opportunities for other HCA courses in person or online.
Skills:
The anticipated pay rate for this position is $1,000 per credit hour. This compensation is subject to change at the sole discretion of the university, based on institutional needs.
