Position Summary

The School of Health Sciences at Lasell University is seeking a part-time faculty member for Introductory Biology Lecture and Laboratory sections during the upcoming semester. The School of Health Sciences offers Biology courses for students majoring in biology, biochemistry, exercise science, health science, and forensic science.

Current Openings include:

• Introductory Biology Lecture
• Mondays & Wednesdays, 2:00 - 3:15 pm
• Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:00-9:15 am
• Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30-10:45 am
• Introductory Biology Lab
• Mondays, 3:30 - 5:20 pm
• Wednesdays, 11:00 - 12:40 pm
• Fridays, 9:00 - 10:40 am
• Fridays, 11:00 - 12:40 pm
• Fridays, 1:00-2:40 pm

All listings are for in-person classes that are already scheduled. Course times cannot be adjusted, as students are already registered for the courses. Please indicate which sections are of interest to you in your response.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in biology or a related field required, doctorate preferred.
• Experience teaching biology courses at the college level.
• Proficiency in maintaining an organized Canvas page and ability to deliver engaging course material.
• Provide instruction for all sessions of assigned courses utilizing the college philosophy of connected learning.
• Provide a syllabus and course outline to students that clearly communicates course learning outcomes.
• Maintain office hours each week and timely communications with students via email and phone.
• Keep accurate records of student progress (grades) and complete mid-semester and final grade reports.
