NOTE: The Aviation Maintenance Technology Program offers training for FAA Part 147 for General, Airframe and Powerplant. General courses are taught at the Dallas College RedBird Workforce Center. Airframe and Powerplant courses are taught at a hangar at the Executive Airport at RedBird. Two (2) Adjunct Faculty positions will teach the evening cohort from 5:00 to 10:00pm Monday through Thursday. Two (2) Adjunct Faculty positions will teach the Veterans Fast-Track weekend cohort from 5:00 to 10:00pm Friday evening and 8:00am to 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
Position Summary
Provides instruction for non-credit course(s) within the content specific area.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Other requirements include excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with students and staff in a teaching environment.
- Demonstrated skills successfully working with students and staff through experiences such as formal training and past work experiences.
- Ability to provide quality customer service.
Physical Requirements

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
- Associate Degree requirement be replaced with the following: FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate and at least 4 years of industry experience; Aviation Maintenance Technology; Powerplant Technology, A & P Certification; Aviation Technology; Aerospace Technology; or other closely related field.
- Official transcripts will be required at time of interview.
- Bilingual preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include providing course syllabi (with the minimum college requirement for the non-credit courses, institutional holidays, grading policy, course information, attendance requirements, books and resource materials, and other institutional or accreditation information, etc.).
- Maintains accurate records for reporting grades and attendance.
- Provides student evaluations in accordance with institutional guidelines and accreditation/licensure body (if applicable).
- Meets required deadlines for submitting required end of course documentation to the division office.
- Completed required Dallas College professional development training hours per academic year.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
