Exemption Status: Exempt
Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs hours per week
Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No
Starting Salary Range: Adjunct base rate is $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour depending on degree and teaching experience and in accordance with the adjunct pay table listed in the Master Agreement.
Adjunct professors assigned to Integration Lecture Lab Instruction like studio photography classes average pay is between $6,300 - $7,400.

Position Summary: Johnson County Community College is looking to fill an adjunct teaching position in the Department of Photography, Film, and Media Studies. JCCC is searching for a pool of applicants for an adjunct studio teaching position that will support the Photography program through courses in analog, digital, and experimental photography. The program emphasizes conceptual development alongside technical skills and encourages experimentation and cross-disciplinary work.

Required Qualifications:

  • MFA in Photography, New Media, or directly related field is required
  • Qualified candidate will have the ability to teach concept forward studio projects in analog and digital photography
  • Previous teaching experience in higher education is preferred

To be considered for this position we will require an application, resume, cover letter, unofficial transcripts, and a link to online portfolio with 20 samples of creative work, and 20 samples of students' creative work.
Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions.
