Adjunct Faculty POOL- Basic Life Support/CPR at Walla Walla (2025-2026 Academic Year)

Walla Walla Community College seeks to develop applicant pools for adjunct faculty to teach course offerings throughout the 2025-2026 academic year. WWCC offers opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach courses at various campuses, including Walla Walla, Clarkston, Washington State Penitentiary, Coyote Ridge Corrections Center, and online/remotely.

Part-time/temporary adjunct faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals. WWCC accepts applications for adjunct faculty positions on a continuous basis.

Description

The BLS/CPR Instructor update provides knowledge review and skills evaluation to renew BLS/CPR Instructor status, following American Heart Association guidelines.

General Responsibilities

Instruction:

• Facilitate didactic materials and skill performance evaluation related to AHA BLS/CPR courses.
• Demonstrate effective performance of BLS/CPR skills.
• Discuss and incorporate AHA changes to CPR guidelines.
• Classes are held in person at their respective campus site.

Advising:

• Refer students to appropriate college and community resources.
• Meet with students by phone or in person outside of class as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Hold a current American Heart Association Instructor CPR Card
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of experience within the past three years
• Prior teaching experience

Conditions/Terms of Employment

This is a part-time instruction assignment contingent on enrollment and located at the Walla Walla Campus. Compensation is in accordance with the contract between the WWCC Board of Trustees and the WWCC Association for Higher Education. Refer to WWCC Human Resources Page for details.
