"Adjunct Faculty Pool- Computer Science at Walla Walla (2025-2026 Academic Year)"

Walla Walla Community College seeks to develop applicant pools for adjunct faculty to teach Computer Science courses during the 2025-2026 academic year. Positions offer flexible hours and opportunities to teach at various campuses or online.

General Responsibilities: Facilitate student learning through preparation and delivery of course materials, provide feedback on assignments, assign grades, and connect students to resources.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Teach assigned classes at scheduled times.
• Demonstrate professional skills appropriate to the assignment.
• Provide a comprehensive syllabus at the quarter's beginning.
• Offer clear explanations, assignments, and directions.
• Conduct evaluations and provide feedback on student performance.
• Assign grades based on evaluations and college policy.
• Maintain student records in the College's LMS.
• Post and hold office hours for student access.
• Maintain course outlines and recommend textbooks and materials.
• Utilize available technology appropriate to the assignment.

Competencies: Includes student success strategies, outcomes-based learning, assessment, equity, diversity, and inclusion, digital literacy, and commitment to continuing education.

Required Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in computing or information technology, or an AAS in software design with experience in relevant technologies, and ability to teach computing concepts.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching at a community college, using instructional technology, teaching in various modalities, working with diverse backgrounds, and commitment to professional growth.
