Adjunct Faculty - Social Work (BSW)
Aurora University seeks talented adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and learning. Adjunct faculty are qualified part-time instructors offered teaching opportunities based on course demand and staffing.
Aurora University is looking for adjunct faculty to work in the BSW program, with opportunities to teach across the BSW core curriculum. However, there is a particular need for instructors qualified to teach the courses listed below:
- Social Work with Groups
- Social Work with Individuals
- Human Behavior in the Social Environment I and II
- Social Work Research
- Social Work with Communities and Organizations
Teaching Responsibilities
AU faculty should be present and engaged in courses by doing the following:
- Facilitate courses in person at the Aurora campus.
- Meet weekly grading deadlines and maintain up-to-date grade books.
- Be responsive to student email messages and requests for assistance.
- Provide mentorship in the discipline and content expertise.
- Respond to all university and departmental requests, emails, messages, and correspondence.
Minimum Qualifications
- An MSW degree and a minimum of two years of professional experience are required.
- Weekday availability is required, as BSW courses are offered in a cohort structure on either M/W/F or T/Th.
- Experience teaching is strongly preferred.
