Position Summary
The Department of Social Work at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for affiliate faculty teaching positions. Responsibilities
An affiliate faculty member's duties may include but are not limited to: teaching assigned classes in person or online ... Candidates need to be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree, plus a minimum of two years of experience in legal areas relevant to social work practice, OR
- A Master's in social work from a CSWE Accredited Program, plus a minimum of two years of relevant post MSW experience, OR
- A Master's degree in related field, plus a minimum of two years of post master's experience related relevant to social work
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's of Social Work (MSW) degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) - accredited institution
- Five years of relevant post MSW or related master's degree experience
- PhD or ABD
- Doctoral level course work in one or more content areas
- Two years of teaching experience relevant to one or more content areas
- Previous experience in teaching in an online environment
- Experience with diverse, historically underrepresented and/or first-generation college students
Terms of Employment
Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees ... Qualified candidates will be expected to teach in person/on campus upon hire.
Salary for Announcement
The final salary is based on the number of credit hours assigned at a rate determined by university policy. For more information, please view pay rates under the College of Health and Human Sciences: Affiliate-Rates-AY-25-26
