Adjunct Instructor, Electrical Construction Trades (CE)
The Adjunct Instructor for Electrical Systems Technology is responsible for teaching residential wiring courses, including preparation, delivery, and record keeping. The role requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience and either an electrical license or completion of an apprenticeship program. The instructor will work with the Director of Construction Trades to plan and coordinate instruction, enforce academic policies, and ensure proper maintenance of classroom materials. Strong communication, problem-solving, and safety knowledge are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with students and staff. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, and occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs.
- The adjunct instructor is responsible for course preparation, delivery, and record keeping.
- Teach all courses, as assigned, for the full duration of scheduled instruction.
- Enforce academic policy and procedures, and comply with institutional rules and regulations.
- Assume responsibility for classroom prep, including maintenance and clean-up.
- The adjunct instructor, Electrical is responsible for teaching the late summer electrical wiring class, working with the Director in Construction Trades to plan, implement, and coordinate instruction.
- Must complete all mandatory work related and professional development training.
Must meet one or more of the qualifications below:
- Electrical License
- Has completed a formal apprenticeship training program
Work Experience: 2 years+ teaching and/or working in the electrical field
