Adjunct Instructor in Building Performance
The School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for a position as Adjunct Instructor in Building Performance in the MS in Building Performance and Diagnostics (BPD) program. We are looking for a qualified candidate to teach a course in Building Controls and Diagnostics. The course introduces students to collecting and processing data acquired from building systems and evaluating their performance. It teaches the basics about control systems, including both traditional control logics (rule-based control and model predictive control) and advanced control logics (reinforcement learning based control).
Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Masters or PhD in Building Performance or related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in designing control systems
- University-level teaching experience preferred
