Adjunct Instructor – Invasive Cardiovascular Technology
Position Summary
A qualified and experienced Adjunct Instructor to support the Invasive Cardiovascular Technology (ICVT) program. This position will play a key role in preparing students for clinical practice in cardiovascular procedures, with a focus on cardiac catheterization, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient-centered care. The adjunct faculty member will provide instruction, mentorship, and evaluation of students in both didactic and/or clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned ICVT courses (didactic, lab, and/or clinical)
- Facilitate student learning through lectures, case studies, simulations, and hands-on training
- Supervise and evaluate students during clinical rotations, ensuring alignment with program competencies
- Collaborate with program leadership to ensure curriculum meets accreditation and industry standards
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and clinical evaluations
- Provide timely feedback and academic support to students
- Adhere to institutional policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Health Sciences, or related field
- Current professional credential (e.g., RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of recent experience in invasive cardiovascular technology (cardiac cath lab experience required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of hemodynamics, interventional procedures, and cardiovascular pharmacology
- Must have reliable transportation to clinical affiliate sites.
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred for teaching didactic courses)
- Prior teaching or clinical instruction experience in an accredited program
- Familiarity with accreditation standards (e.g., CAAHEP)
- Experience working with diverse and non-traditional student populations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Additional Information: This is a part-time adjunct position with hours based on clinical site schedules (typically 1–3 days per week depending on student placement). Compensation is per clinical hour or per credit (as applicable).
