Job Description:

  • Teach Principles of Sociology courses in the Department of Behavioral Sciences under the Behavioral, Social Sciences and Global Learning Division
  • Courses may include Principles of Sociology, Social Problems, and Juvenile Delinquency
  • Courses may be offered at any of the BHCC campuses, satellite campuses, partner sites, or instructional sites, including but not limited to Brighton Public High School, Madison Park High School, Malden High School, PAO Center, and Freedom House.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Sociology or related field.
  • Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
  • Experience with high impact teaching and learning practices (examples: undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities).
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
  • Community college teaching experience preferred.

Additional Information:

Salary: $1,397 Per Credit Hour

Effective Date: Fall 2024 semester; open until filled
