Contract Associate Professor
The Institute of Linguistics invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track term faculty position for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. The appointment will be 100%-time over the nine-month academic year (late-August to late-May). Appointment will be at the rank of Contract Associate Professor, dependent on qualifications and experience, and consistent with collegiate and University policy.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching five courses per academic year, including PhD-level courses.
- Serving as the Committee Chair of Curriculum Revision for the Institute, including:
- Create new courses and revise existing courses at the graduate and undergraduate level.
- Oversee the revision of courses by other faculty.
- Coordinate curriculum development for the unit.
- Student advising and other services for the unit.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Linguistics
- Five academic years’ experience teaching as an Assistant Professor in the field of linguistics.
- Research and publications in the field of linguistics.
- Service and advising experience.
