Adjunct lecturer – School Counseling Master’s Program

Merrimack College is a selective, private college in a beautiful, residential setting — just minutes from Boston, Massachusetts.
Position Overview:
The Graduate School of Counseling and Social Work invites applications for the position of Adjunct Lecturer for a variety of courses within the School Counseling program. As an adjunct faculty, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing formal learning in the online and/or on campus with the primary duties being effective delivery of instructional material and course management (e.g., assessments, grading, etc.).
Content expertise and/or professional applied experience (e.g., teaching, mental health counseling, etc.) for graduate courses is required. Needs shift semester to semester, interested applicants should review the program webpages to identify courses that they have expertise and interest in and include that in a cover letter along with vitae.
Qualifications:
- An earned doctorate (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) or an advanced doctorate candidate in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or a related doctoral degree is preferred; or hold a Master’s degree in Counseling/Social Work/School Counselling (or related field) with at least 8-10 years of professional clinical practice experience;
- A commitment to infusing multicultural content and social justice principles in curriculum and training are highly preferred;
- Licensure as a mental health counselor, Social Worker, Psychologist or School Counselor with a minimum of 8 years of professional clinical practice experience after licensure is required.
Review of candidates is ongoing based on the needs of the program by semester.

Compensation:
$5,000 per each 4 credit course
