We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Administration Officer to support the daily operations of the School of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS). In this pivotal role, you will deliver high-quality, client-focused administrative services to students, staff and external stakeholders, helping to ensure the smooth running of teaching, research and engagement activities.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Core Operations: Liaise with stakeholders to support operational outcomes, maintain standard operating procedures, and assist with accurate and confidential academic workload data reporting.
- Finance and Client Support: First point of contact for enquiries, responding to routine and non-routine queries and interpreting policies and procedures. Plan and coordinate School seminars, conferences, and events, and manages induction and welcome processes for new staff and students, including orientation materials and support.
- Building and Facilities: Coordinate the allocation and setup of spaces, resources, and equipment to support operational efficiency and ensure timely resolution of property, facilities, and operational issues to maintain business continuity.
- Administration: Provide high-level administrative and office coordination support, manage calendars and meeting arrangements and prepares correspondence for stakeholder review. Maintain School website and intranet content, oversees office supplies and inventory, and effectively uses a range of desktop applications and management information systems.

About You
- A degree or diploma with subsequent relevant experience or secretarial administrative experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training.
- Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working as a team member in a busy environment.
- Working knowledge of University administrative systems, policies and procedures or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia. This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements.
