About the Team
VET Delivered to Secondary Schools (VDSS) Program is a small team dedicated to supporting the development of career pathways for young people. The program provides a unique experience for students to participate in vocational education and training prior to leaving school and leading to further education and training across Victoria University’s wider programs. The team provides essential administrative services to internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operation and management. The team has been instrumental in the development of a new attendance system and enrolment process, always looking for new opportunities for improvement.
About the Role
This role provides a high level of administrative support across the VET Delivered to Secondary Schools (VDSS) program within Victoria University TAFE. The role involves working closely with secondary schools and their students, other external stakeholders, as well as teachers and departments delivering VET courses in the VDSS program across a range of VU campuses. At specific times of the year, you will contribute to supporting the development of student reports and the student enrolment process. You will prioritise and maintain Duty of Care responsibilities for students under 18 years old and support the daily administrative functions of the VDSS department, while contributing to a positive working environment.
- Salary: 79,135 – 90,899 per annum
- Employment Type: Full time Fixed term (June 2026 - August 2027)
- Hours: 36.75 hours per week
- Location: Sunshine campus

About You
The ideal candidate has
- Sufficient experience in administrative duties and working in a busy environment.
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of staff, students and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The University is a Child Safe organisation. You will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
