The Department of Chemistry is currently seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to support the smooth running of key functions within the Department.
This varied role involves working on a wide range of HR processes, departmental projects, and events.
As part of the Chemistry Administration Team, you will provide administrative and clerical support to the Administrative Officer, and other colleagues including academic staff within the Department.
You will deliver a high-quality service to all you engage with and dedicated support to one of six research groups, working closely with the Academic Lead.
This is a great opportunity for an individual seeking to extend and further develop their skills in an academic environment, whilst learning about a growing strategically important department at the University of Warwick.

Flexible Working
Despite the position being advertised as full-time, we will consider applicants on a part-time basis, minimum 4 days per week (0.8 FTE).
About You
You will have a strong administrative background, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work methodically within relevant policies and procedures. Being able to effectively schedule and prioritise your own tasks and meet deadlines is essential.
You should be able to perform well under pressure and effectively communicate with various stakeholders throughout the organisation in a professional manner. You will have the ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality. You will be a strong team player who can adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.
You will have strong IT skills and the ability to work with spreadsheets and database programmes such as Excel. You will be adept at learning new software quickly.
A flexible approach to work is essential to meet business needs.
