- Serves as a critical support position for the department.
- Supports the confidential administrative needs of the Vice President, Assistant VPs and Executive Directors in Research Administration.
- Plan and coordinates the department's events and provides office administration including extensive calendaring, drafting of correspondence and travel arrangements.
- Works with a keen focus on detail, excellent organization and coordination skills and an ownership mindset.
- Maintains effective knowledge of all relevant resources and services available within the university.
- Acts as liaison and maintains collaborative relationships with Rutgers central administration, university staff and administrators.
- Works under direct supervision, with specific instructions on routine or semi routine work and within established work parameters for the unit.
- Performs professional work that requires knowledge of general administrative/office management practices and the basic application and use of concepts, theories, and terminology of unit administration.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- At least two (2) years of experience in administrative or executive support.
