Duties & Responsibilities:
This position provides administrative support to the Department Chair and Department Administrator. Additionally, this position supports and oversees a variety of projects, events, and activities in coordination with the Administrator, Chair, and other leaders within the department. This position ensures all departmental providers are credentialed and licensed through the completion of full credentialing as well as provider enrollment with VCUHS Medical Staff Services. This position will support a variety of projects to include space management for the department. This team member will serve as a resource to other leaders and staff as needed, helping to solve problems, distribute information and share expertise.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Expert user of Windows software including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Excel and other web based platforms such as Visio.
Must have demonstrated ability to create and work in spreadsheets and databases. Strong written and oral communication skills.
Must be customer service oriented, well organized, detail oriented as well as possess a demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams.
Demonstrated administrative management experience providing executive support to key organizational decision makers. Ability to influence without authority; ability to train and lead others.
Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with credentialing and general academic department experience and/or human resource experience. Working knowledge of human resources principles.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000
FLSA Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Hours per Week: 40
