Administrative Services Administrator 2
Stanford University is seeking an Administrative Services Administrator 2, to lead and administer programs or functions under minimal supervision. Half of the work involves providing administrative oversite and leadership for the Stanford Department of Medicine Serious Illness Care Program. Working alongside the program’s Clinical Director, the candidate will provide direct supervision for the Program Manager and Program Coordinator. They will also work with the Clinical Director to oversee program operations with include ensuring delivering trainings to clinicians across Stanford Medicine in the Serious Illness Conversation Guide as well as supporting clinical entities in quality improvement processes to ensure trained clinicians to engage their patients in high quality serious illness communication. This position requires at least two days per week of in person work engaging with direct reports, other team members and stakeholders as needed.
This is a hybrid eligible position.
Duties include:
- Lead the planning and operations for programs or functions that have significant business, regulatory and/or technical challenges requiring subject matter expertise.
- Evaluate programs or functions, policies and procedures. Identify issues and develop alternative solutions which may include changes to programs, policies and procedures.
- Review and analyze trends to advise and develop recommendations to achieve or modify the goals of the program or function.
- Represent the program or function within the department, unit or school. Commit resources and provide information and/or training. Represent the program or function at the university level and/or to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
- Manage and contribute to the development of outreach strategy that may include relationship development, communications and compliance.
- May develop and/or oversee budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.
- Assess training needs and may develop associated training.
- May direct and/or supervise staff.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in healthcare administration or MPH.
- Expertise in leading teams in process improvement projects in healthcare.
- Experience working as an administrator in a healthcare setting.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.
