Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Administrative Specialist in the Wall College of Business.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma. Two (2) years of secretarial/clerical experience. Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous administrative experience at a University or K-12 school.
Duties include, but are not limited to
- Provides administrative support to the assigned academic department(s) and chairs within the Wall College of Business; runs departmental reports; maintains accurate files for advising and registration using relevant campus systems; maintains travel budget and appropriate paperwork for departmental travel; ensures departmental requests and forms are submitted completely and correctly.
- Provides support for instruction activities of faculty by copying exams/handouts. Reserves instructional equipment and rooms. Maintains faculty schedules, contact info, and syllabi.
- Enables departmental activities by scheduling meetings for faculty, advisory boards, academic honor societies, etc.; prepares, copies, and collates meeting documents; takes meeting minutes and distributes them in a timely fashion; maintains accurate meeting records.
- Attends relevant training sessions to maintain current working knowledge of campus systems, policies, and procedures.
- Serves as supervisor and/or mentor to the department’s Graduate Student Assistants.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Command of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook) and the ability to learn new technologies; ability to work with students, faculty, and the public exercising discretion and good judgment in applying departmental and program policy and procedures; the ability to self-start and work independently in implementing administrative procedures; efficient academic file management and record-keeping accuracy; effective oral and written communication skills; time management skills and ability to meet deadlines; ability to work with and maintain a running budget.
