The Opportunity
The School of Computer Science and Engineering has a fixed-term opportunity for an Administrator to support the delivery of efficient day-to-day operations across the School. In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative support, acting as the first point of contact for stakeholders and offering advice on administrative processes. You will maintain databases and spreadsheets, coordinate meetings and events, and manage financial tasks such as purchasing, travel, and reimbursements. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives across the School and Faculty.
This position has been created to support a number of key School initiatives over a 12-month period, including bulk academic recruitment, research support, engagement activities for a new Industry Partnership Program, and business improvement and process mapping initiatives.
This position will report to the School Manager, supporting the Head of School and School Leadership Team.
- Salary, Level 5: $88,717 to $100,386 per annum + 17% superannuation

Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Advanced time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
- Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to make sound judgements and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience supporting and contributing to projects and initiatives.
- Advanced numeracy skills.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
