Admissions Advisor
Overview and Responsibilities
Admissions Advisors are active members of the Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) Strategic Communication & Community Engagement team and interact with prospective students, community agencies, and key stakeholders to promote CVTC to prospective students and key stakeholders in the community. Admissions Advisors facilitate the college exploration and enrollment process through multiple channels and assist prospective students in making informed decisions about enrollment at CVTC. Admissions Advisors provide individualized assistance to prospective students by exploring career options and being the primary point of contact to help them navigate through the admissions process.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a highly engaged member of CVTC's recruitment team, cultivating strong relationships with external stakeholders (e.g., K12 school districts, community agencies, employers) to position CVTC as a premier educational and workforce partner.
- Represent CVTC at community events, K12 activities, and employer engagements to strengthen brand awareness and educational partnerships.
- Organize and facilitate professional development sessions to promote CVTC to community agencies and employer partners.
- Represent and speak on behalf of CVTC with local media outlets to promote events and the CVTC brand.
- Research and analyze higher education market trends; recommend and implement best practices to maintain CVTC's leadership in post-secondary education.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of CVTC's 120+ academic programs, certificates, apprenticeships, admissions and financial aid processes, paying-for-college options, and available student support resources.
- Create and execute strategic recruitment plans for assigned territories to increase prospect conversion.
- Review and analyze recruitment strategies quarterly to ensure alignment with CVTC's strategic plan and progress toward annual recruitment goals.
- Provide high-quality customer service and strategic engagement to prospective students to maximize reach and support conversion across the recruitment funnel.
- Collaborate with the dual enrollment coordinator and cross-functional teams to promote career pathways programming.
- Develop and deliver in-person and virtual presentations for K12 audiences (administrators, teachers, staff, students, parents) across CVTC's 45+ partner high schools.
- Support high school staff in promoting dual credit opportunities and facilitate the registration of transcripted credit courses.
- Guide prospective high school students in navigating options to earn college credit in high school.
- Partner with faculty and deans to coordinate career and technical education showcases in high schools across CVTC's 11-county district.
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective students, families, and the public across multiple communication channels (in-person, phone, email, SMS, social media, and web chat).
- Provide information and guidance on academic programs, admissions, financial aid, assessment resources, career planning, and student services.
- Assist Events & Engagement team members with planning and executing large-scale recruitment events (700+ attendees) for prospective students and community partners.
- Develop accurate, engaging presentation content and deliver it to large stakeholder audiences.
- Manage and maintain accurate prospective student information (inquiries, presentations, follow-up, application tracking) within CRM, ERP, OneDrive, and SharePoint systems.
- Manage departmental projects to ensure deadlines and strategic objectives are achieved.
- Evaluate real-time situations and make independent decisions with minimal direction.

- Intermediate knowledge of and skills with technology including software programs for communication, data collection, and decision making including, but not limited to, Office 365 Suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to travel (i.e., access to reliable transportation) to various campuses, schools, and other sites in CVTC's 11-county district as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field with a minimum of six years of experience in a recruitment, sales, or related position required: OR a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field with a minimum of two years of experience in a recruitment, sales or related position preferred.
