Admissions Assistant (2 positions)
Alabama State University, Office of Admissions and Recruitment, invites applications to fill the vacant position of Admission Assistant. The successful applicant will provide support to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment by performing a variety of administrative tasks involving the application of initiative and independent judgment. This position reports to the associate director and the assistant vice president for the division.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain student data in the University's central databases, including admission applications, test scores, and transcript(s) for beginning freshmen, transfer, special and returning students
- Compile and generate reports on profiles of prospective students and enrollment data
- Analyze credentials for students applying for scholarship
- Determine in-state residency eligibility for incoming students
- Assist with the telemarketing of prospective students
- Support the training and supervision of assigned student workers
- Perform other duties as assigned
An Associate degree, experience working in a college or university admissions or recruiting setting, available to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
