Qualifications Required
Requires a Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field. Experience in higher education, admissions, marketing, or recruitment is highly preferred.
General Summary
Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the functions of the campus student recruiting and admissions processes. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Provide supervisory oversight, leadership, and direction to the Office of Admissions and its team members by cultivating and developing talented team members with clear goals, expectations, and accountability by managing all functions, including the hiring, training, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of the staff.
- Effectively utilizes college resources in accomplishing enrollment objectives by planning, developing, and controlling the departmental budget.
- Facilitates an environment that empowers staff to provide excellent customer service, which encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with diverse cultures or backgrounds.
- Provides leadership in creating, developing, and coordinating admission materials and communication plans to advance admission strategies designed to meet the college's recruitment, outreach, and enrollment goals.
- Develops and maintains student-centered enrollment experiences for prospective and new students. This includes but is not limited to registration days, visit days, and individual and group tours.
- Works collaboratively with academic programs, faculty, enrollment management/student services, and the college community to promote and facilitate purposeful and engaging interactions with prospective students.
- Serves as the Principal Designated School Official or Designated School Official. Oversees international student admissions processes, including maintaining the college's administrative and reporting requirements within the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVIS) including maintaining student records, submitting required reports, processing Curricular Practical Training applications, and reporting enrollment status. Assists with Visa renewals or extensions.
- Works collaboratively with the Dean of Enrollment Management to develop and implement an innovative, proactive, and strategic approach to new student recruitment and enrollment efforts by overseeing the operation of the Office of Admissions. This includes utilizing institutional data and Recruit data, best practices, and trends to make data-informed decisions around recruiting, visits, marketing materials, hiring, and planning.
- Participates in professional development appropriate to the functions of the position and professional interests. This may include but is not limited to attending college training, webinars, local and regional conferences, serving committees, networking with peers, and leadership development through books/podcasts/etc.
- Assists prospective students and high school staff in navigating the CCC admission process by providing information, support, and guidance. This includes but is not limited to high school visits, college fairs, campus events and visits, and communication with high schools and prospective students and their parents.
