Classification: ANU Officer 6 (Technical)

Salary package: $98,387 - $102,887 per annum plus 17% superannuation

Term: Full time (flexible arrangements, job share, or part time hours will be considered), Continuing (contingent funded)

This position is continuing (contingent funded). The funding that supports this project has an expected end date of 30 June 2028.

The Position

Based within in the department of Electronics Group at the Research School of Earth Sciences, the Technical Officer will maintain and develop complex electronics for the AuScope Earth Imaging seismology program.

The Person

To excel in this position you will have

• experience in microprocessor programming, field programmable gate array and High-level language programming skills
• experience in circuit design of electronics systems for digital and analogue systems
• demonstrated ability to investigate fundamental operating principles of instrumentation to fault-find and repair electronic systems to component level
• a degree together with a minimum of two years relevant electronic engineering experience
• the ability to liaise with stakeholders to achieve research outcomes
