Position Summary

The ANZNN CQR Coordinator supports the coordination and delivery of key activities of the Australian and New Zealand Neonatal Network (ANZNN) Clinical Quality Registry (CQR) within the National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit (NPESU), Centre for Big Data Research in Health, Faculty of Medicine. The ANZNN is a collaborative network of Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) and high-dependency Special Care Nurseries (SCNs) across Australia and New Zealand that aims to improve outcomes for high-risk infants receiving neonatal critical care.

Working under the guidance of the ANZNN Operations & Registry Manager, the role contributes to the implementation of activities funded under the National Clinical Quality Registry Program. The Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new participating high-dependency SCNs, including coordinating communications, consultations, and training related to data submission to the registry. The position also supports the preparation and management of ethics applications and data agreement processes, and monitors recruitment and onboarding progress to ensure adherence to approved timelines.

The role is responsible for supporting effective engagement with ANZNN stakeholders by developing and maintaining clear communication channels with participating NICUs and SCNs. In addition, the Coordinator assists with implementing and maintaining a contact management system and provides administrative and operational support for key ANZNN registry activities. The position also contributes to the professional activities of NPESU and CBDRH and supports adherence to UNSW governance processes to ensure projects are managed within established frameworks and standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications and in database management.
  • Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
