Archive and Events Coordinator
In this role, the applicant will oversee the Folklife Center archive and library. This includes answering research questions from internal and external sources; creating, managing, and updating archival policies and documents; overseeing the proper storage and cataloguing of all collections; coordinating with Director to provide archive trainings for work study and Museum Studies students; and working towards a publicly accessible catalogue and digital archive that is compliant with best practices and copyright law. In addition to archival duties, applicant will work with the Director to prepare for and oversee events. This includes answering general scheduling questions; being available to work for scheduled events (including nights and weekends); anticipating and executing set up and clean up for events in conjunction with Facilities, IT, and performers; setting up and running audiovisual technology (live sound, projector); overseeing student workers during events; and ensuring a safe, clean, welcoming experience for all performers, students, and visitors. Applicant will be expected to attend COLA and University-wide meetings and events to be part of the campus community and advocate for the Folklife Center.
