Archivist, Romero Project

Boston College Libraries are seeking one temporary full-time archivist, to arrange and describe digital files from a digital collection of the archdiocesan papers of Saint Oscar Romero. The archivist will prepare and implement a processing plan, for arranging and describing the digital materials (with both hierarchical descriptions and item-level metadata, in Spanish and English), and for assisting with a thorough review of the files to help determine which to include in the database. The archivist will also advise on other aspects of the Project as appropriate, including the evaluation of content and interfaces for public online access to the Project materials. The archivist may also supervise part-time student assistants who will support various aspects of the Project.
