Offer Description
The Electronic Devices, Circuits and Architectures (DCAE) Department of the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest is offering an Assistant (asistent universitar) position targeting teaching and research in electronic and computer engineering. More precisely, the subjects that candidates need to be able to cover are:
- Computer Programming and Programming Languages 1: Introduction to C programming.
- Computer Programming and Programming Languages 2: Introduction to Object Oriented Programming in C++.
- Data Structures and Algorithms: An introduction to organizing and processing data efficiently to solve computational problems optimally.
- Digital Electronics: An introduction to digital circuit design and hardware description languages.
- Performance Analysis and Optimization: covers optimizing software for high performance computing.
- Operating Systems: covers fundamental operating system concepts, including processes and threads, memory management, file systems, and synchronization.

Competition period: 12.10.2026-14.10.2026, according to the schedule
Decision of the Competition Committee on the ranking of candidates, the nomination of the candidate who obtained the highest overall results, and the recommendation for appointment to the position: to be displayed at the premises of the Department where the competition was held by 14 October 2026.
Approval by the Faculty Council of the Competition Committee’s Report: by 20 October 2026.
Approval by the University Senate of the Competition Committee’s Report on the outcome of the competition: by 22 October 2026.
