Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering
Job Overview
The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position (Requisition# 100284) with the possibility to begin as early as August 15, 2026. Salary and startup funding to be commensurate with credentials.
Successful candidates will conduct research in one or more of the following areas: (1) magnetic resonance imaging coil design, (2) magnetic resonance imaging radio-frequency hardware design, (3) magnetic resonance imaging pulse sequence development, and/or (4) magnetic resonance imaging application development.
Essential Functions
- Teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses specific to their expertise in magnetic resonance imaging and related areas, including but not limited to, electronic circuits, image and signal processing, and medical physics.
- Develop externally funded research programs in their area of specialty (as listed above) and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals.
- Advise graduate and undergraduate students.
- Participate in service with professional societies (e.g., committee membership, editorial positions, etc.) and participate in curriculum and course development.
Minimum Requirements
Prior to the effective date of the appointment, a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other closely related field.
