Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Physics
Grove City College announces a faculty opening in the Department of Physics. Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. in physics and will be responsible for teaching various physics classes and laboratory sections. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to student-faculty research and are motivated to mentor undergraduate students in research projects.
Grove City College’s Department of Physics offers five major programs of study: Physics, Physics Secondary Education, Physics General Science Secondary Education, Physics/Computer Software, and Physics/Computer Hardware. The department includes 5 faculty members and around 30 undergraduate physics majors (typically). Graduate programs in physics are not offered at Grove City College.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong potential for excellence in classroom teaching, including students in research, and a commitment to educating highly motivated students within the context of Grove City College’s historic Christian perspective. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
