About the Job
The Department of Medicine’s Division of Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases at the University of Minnesota is searching for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Academic Clinical Track. The new hire will provide clinical care for patients with rheumatology and autoimmune diseases in both the outpatient clinics and inpatient consultation services. Call services are distributed among Division faculty based on clinical FTE.
This position will be comprised of 85% clinical time and 15% academic time.
Each academic faculty member is expected to participate in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, precept fellow continuity clinics, and participate in learner didactics and weekly Citywide conferences. All faculty members are encouraged to work toward annual publication and participate in regular Division and Department faculty meetings.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: (Must be documented onto all application materials)
- M.D. and Board Certified in Rheumatology
- Demonstrated excellence in patient care.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for medical education and strong teaching skills.
- Must have or be able to attain a medical license in the state of MN.
- Must be able to pass credentialing at all applicable sites.
Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain your legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
