Assistant, Associate, Full Professor - Stroke Neurologist (CHS)
The Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a stroke neurologist interested in pursuing an academic career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This position is full time, 100%, and requires work to be completed onsite at a designated campus work location. Applicants will be considered for titles such as Assistant Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), or Professor (CHS) based on experience and qualifications.
Key responsibilities include clinical activities such as inpatient services, outpatient stroke clinics, telestroke consultations, and neurohospitalist coverage. The successful candidate will participate in professional, public, and university service, and may engage in research and teaching efforts, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
In the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) Track, responsibilities typically include 70% clinical care and 30% teaching, research, or service. The position is a dual appointment with UW Madison and UW Medical Foundation.
Required qualifications: Completed a neurology residency program, stroke, neurocritical care, or neurohospitalist fellowship training or equivalent, board eligible or certified in ABPN or AOBNP, and must have a WI medical license by the start date.
