Assistant Athletic Trainer
Join a vibrant community college nestled along the shores of beautiful Lake Coeur d' Alene and help student-athletes thrive in sport and in life. We’re seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer who is committed to high-quality care, collaboration, and student success.
In this role, you’ll provide hands-on injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services for student-athletes across a range of competitive sports. You’ll support daily operations of the athletic training room; deliver first aid and emergency care; coordinate medical referrals; and maintain accurate electronic medical documentation. Working closely with the Head Athletic Trainer, coaches, and health partners, you’ll provide coverage for practices and home/away events throughout pre-, post-, and off-season periods. You’ll also support equipment and supply oversight, assist with insurance processes, help coordinate first-aid staffing for camps and clinics, and promote best practices related to student-athlete well-being.
We’re looking for a collaborative professional with extensive knowledge of injury recognition, prevention, and treatment; the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations; strong communication skills; and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. Skill in building relationships with health professionals is valued, along with the ability to mentor future practitioners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment is beneficial.
If you’re committed to ethical practice, student growth, and contributing positively to our college community, we’d love to hear from you.
