Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with student leadership to provide instruction, training, and motivation that enable all team members to perform at their highest potential.
• Ensure familiarity with and adherence to all university policies and procedures related to club sports and student activities.
• Coordinate and teach the skills, techniques, and physical conditioning necessary for safe and effective participation.
• Provide on-site supervision during all practices, performances, and events in coordination with student leadership.
• Maintain oversight of a majority of practice sessions to ensure safety and progress toward team goals.
• Report all serious injuries or incidents involving participants to the supervisor within 24 hours.
• Assist student leadership in planning and executing fundraising activities to support program needs.
• Serve as a team chaperone and drive a university vehicle to and from events as needed.

Minimum Required Education

Minimum Expectations

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with the fundamentals of cheerleading.
• Prior coaching experience at the high school or youth level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in tumbling and/or gymnastics.
• Coaching experience at the collegiate level.
