Assistant Cheer Coach
The Assistant Cheer Coach assists the Director of Spirit with TCU Cheer practices and/or performances by attending rehearsals and home football, volleyball, basketball games and other performances as required.
- Attends Cheer practices as assigned by Spirit Director
- Attends football, volleyball, basketball games as assigned by Spirit Director
- Assists Spirit Director in coaching/teaching TCU Cheer at practices and home games as scheduled.
- Attends game day operations meetings, staff meetings, and captain meetings as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years collegiate cheer team experience.
Preferred Education & Experience: Previous teaching experience in dance technique and performance at the elite or collegiate level.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge and understanding of college student development and learning; Knowledge of crowd involvement and safety measures; Skill in communication, presentation and interpersonal techniques; Ability to adhere to and support university spirit squad priorities, philosophy and guidelines; Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
