Assistant Director of Admissions
This position is primarily responsible for the recruitment of transfer and second-degree students entering the University's undergraduate programs. Travel during recruitment seasons is required to attend transfer fairs and events. The individual is accountable for achieving specific enrollment goals. This position requires an individual with confidence; strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; exceptional persistence and proven ability to meet numerical goals; a high level of commitment; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; and the ability to motivate others. The Assistant Director supports and advances the mission of the University as an institution dedicated to providing a high-quality education.
- Bachelor's degree
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for recruitment purposes
- Experience in higher education
- Ability to form positive connections with essential campus staff (Registrar, Faculty, New Student Orientation)
- Commitment and ability to work with diverse individuals
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills
Preferred:
- Professional experience working with transfer students is a plus
- A personal transfer student experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational, file management, analytical and decision-making skills
