Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE), the largest auxiliary organization at Stanford University, supports the academic mission of the university by providing high-quality services to students and other members of the university community. R&DE has an annual operating budget of $400M, operates 24/7/365, and oversees a $3B asset portfolio comprising over 7 million square feet--one-third of the campus footprint. R&DE provides housing for 16,000 students and dependents, serves 8 million meals annually at 48 student dining venues and 32 culinary enterprises. In addition, R&DE provides executive services, conference operations, and guest lodging. R&DE is a talented and diverse team of 1,200+ who comprise the following divisions: Student Housing Operations & Stanford Conferences; Stanford Dining and Hospitality & Auxiliaries; Maintenance Operations and Capital Projects; and a team of R&DE strategic business partners--Finance & Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Strategic Communications and Marketing.

This role is currently designated as hybrid and may provide incumbents with flexibility for partial telecommuting.
PURPOSE:
Partner with hiring managers and local HR staff in developing and conducting workforce plans, recruiting strategies, candidate sourcing strategies, job posting/advertising, outreach plans/programs, resume reviewing, and candidate screening and interviewing. Lead and train employment representatives and others in recruitment techniques and best practices.
CORE DUTIES:
- Leadership & Team Building: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing Talent Acquisition team. Create role clarity, expectations, and performance while fostering a culture of ownership and operational excellence.
- Candidate Experience & Brand: Ensure a high-touch, engaging candidate experience. Design and communicate a compelling recruitment story in partnership with leadership and Strategic Communications and Marketing.
- Infrastructure: Use data and technology to design scalable processes and improve decision making.
- Compliance: Lead and continuously improve recruiting processes and procedures to ensure compliance (ex. I-9, pre-employment processes)
- Develop and/or manage all employment activities, programs, and services, including job family recruitment, sourcing team operations, and tools and resources development.
- Make workforce planning and talent management recommendations.
- Set standards and define and implement process improvements to increase efficiency of recruitment processes. Create, develop, and apply metrics to track and measure success of function.
- Serve as member of management team.
- Present information about employment/recruiting to a variety of audiences.
- Supervise team of employment representatives, including guiding staff through the recruitment process and providing training in state-of-the-art recruitment techniques, processes, and technologies. Act as single point of contact for designated service areas and coordinate all staff recruitment activities and resources.
- Source, recruit, screen, interview, and recommend external and/or internal candidates for individual, mission-critical, and hard-to-fill positions. Serve as executive search recruiter for senior level positions.
- Set hiring manager's expectations. Develop and execute service level agreements for individual positions.
- Refer searches to external employment agencies and manage vendors, as needed.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation is maintained concerning all phases of the recruitment process, including equal employment opportunity statistics, and is in compliance with state and federal laws, contractual obligations, and university guidelines.
- Recruit from and/or conduct job fairs, as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Highly developed interviewing skills.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal employment laws applicable to the hiring of employees, including employment laws and regulations requirements.
- In-depth experience with web-based systems and recruiting sources, including the internet, social media, warm/cold calling, referrals, events, networking, publications, industry groups/associations, and job fairs.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently sit, use a telephone.
- Occasionally stand/walk, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.
- Rarely writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Occasional travel.
- Flexible work hours including weekends and evenings.

The expected pay range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 per annum
Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
