Assistant, Finance Partner
About This Opportunity
The Assistant, Finance Partner plays an important role in providing professional financial advice and project accounting support to senior project leaders and client business units across the University. Working within a collaborative finance environment, the role supports effective financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for operational and grant-funded projects while ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and funding requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide professional project accounting advice and financial support to Project Managers, Grant Holders, Chief Investigators, and other stakeholders to support the effective management and utilisation of project and grant funding.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, expenditure reporting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities, ensuring compliance with relevant funding rules, policies, and procedures.
- Review, process, and monitor financial transactions to ensure operational accounting activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established controls and service standards.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across client business units, acting as a trusted financial partner and delivering high-quality financial advice and support.
