Team Leader, Accounts Receivable
- Full-time, Continuing position
- Salary HEW Level 8 ($116,551 - $131,257) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working
About You
As the Team Lead, Accounts Receivable, you will lead a key finance function that supports the delivery of efficient, compliant, and high-quality financial services across the University. Working closely with the Finance Operations Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations while ensuring strong service standards, sound financial controls, and a customer-focused approach.
In this role, you will manage credit activities, transaction processing, reconciliations, and system-related workflows, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with University policies. You will also act as a key escalation point for complex operational matters and system-related issues.
You will play an important role in driving process improvements, enhancing the use of systems such as Workday, and supporting data-informed decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a people leader who enjoys developing high-performing teams, building strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing to strategic financial outcomes.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Strong experience in Accounts Receivable operations and credit management within a medium to large organisation.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements (CA/CPA qualification desirable).
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams within a transactional finance environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex operational issues and act as a key escalation point.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Workday, including financial systems optimisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements.
