Position Summary
The Assistant/Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions is a member of the undergraduate admissions leadership team within Enrollment Management portfolio. This position oversees all undergraduate recruitment activities including territory visits, travel, application review, and admissions decision-making for new transfer students. This position works closely with the Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions to build a cohesive recruitment and marketing plan for transfer students and also provides additional support and leadership to assist the first-year counselors in their role of recruiting prospective students and their families.
Essential Duties
- Recruit an incoming class of new transfer students each term.
- Develop a robust recruitment plan aimed at growing incrementally growing transfer admissions each year.
- Collaborate with admissions leadership to set goals, monitor progress toward recruitment goals, analyze and present data to drive strategy and tactics
- Provide accurate reports and date to Enrollment Management leadership on progress and opportunities.
- Manage National Student Clearinghouse data, creating appropriate communications to re-recruit transfer students.
- Understand and articulate La Salle's offerings with prospective students within the University's primary, secondary, and tertiary markets
- Manage application process and review for assigned programs in Slate
- Oversee communication strategies for inquiries, applicants, admits and enrolled transfer students throughout the enrollment process
- Conduct regular information and one-on-one sessions for prospective new freshman and transfer students
- Manage application process for all transfer programs in the University's CRM, Slate and the University's Student Information System, Banner.
- Serve as liaison to the University's Deans and Academic Program Directors involved in the enrollment process.
- Coordinate with the Assistant Deans and Department Chairs to determine the transferability of courses.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of on and off-campus prospective undergraduate recruitment admit and yield events.
- Create and manage strategic partnerships with area community colleges and corporate partners
- Work with admissions leadership to develop, implement and manage short- and long-term strategies for optimal enrollment
- Assists with department and divisional sponsored events including off-campus recruitment and yield events
- Participate in committees and/or conferences and meetings as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist Enrollment Management staff as needed.
- Manage special projects and/or serve on committees as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in higher education or related field
- At least 2-5 years of experience with progressive leadership working in an Admission Office or related higher education environment
- Ability to build, manage and motivate a talented team of enrollment professionals
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of financial aid leveraging
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in higher education or related field
- Excellent planning, organization and leadership skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships within the University community
- Capable of undertaking complex admissions responsibilities with minimal direction - Strong customer service orientation and experience in developing recruiting and communication strategies
- Previous experience using Technolutions' Slate
- Previous experience using Ellucian's Banner
- Proficiency or fluency in Spanish
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
- Evening and weekend work will be necessary during peak times
- Extensive travel to schools and college fairs within the University's primary, secondary and tertiary markets is required
