Assistant or Associate Professor, General Surgery
FACULTY POSITION: DEPARTMENT OF SURGERY, DIVISION OF GENERAL SURGERY
The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks candidates to join the full-time faculty of the Division of General Surgery at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Candidates should be board-certified in General Surgery or currently in training in an accredited General Surgery fellowship program. Responsibilities will include establishing a broad General Surgery practice at University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus, conducting independent clinical or laboratory research, providing care to complex General Surgery patients at the Downtown Campus, contributing to the comprehensive growth of General Surgery throughout the Medical System, and educating medical students, surgery residents, and fellows. Candidates should have a clear plan for clinical practice building, academic development, and scholarly activity that is consistent with the mission of the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Salary Range: $351,806 - $564,539
The referenced salary range reflects base pay, determined by faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the DEPARTMENTAL faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein.

Expected rank is Assistant Professor or higher; however, rank and tenure status are dependent on the candidate's qualifications.
