Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, School of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The position focuses on the broad area of "Mechanisms of Aging," approaching the question from various perspectives using multiple techniques. Candidates should synergize with existing strengths in nuclear biology, proteostasis, epigenetics, RNA biology, and/or regeneration to enable collaborations. The department seeks candidates who will contribute to foundational discoveries in cell biology (https://mcb.illinois.edu/departments/cell-developmental-biology). Research topics include high-resolution quantitative imaging, high-throughput "omic" technologies, quantitative genetics, bioinformatics, and computational modeling. Successful candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent, with a background in cell or developmental biology or a related field, and demonstrate a track record of research accomplishments and potential for independent research. Appointees will conduct independent research, participate in undergraduate and graduate programs, and teach effectively.
