The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the University of Washington are jointly recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level without tenure due to funding, in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutch (primary appointment) and the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine at the UW (joint appointment). The selected individual is expected to contribute to delivering outstanding clinical care and developing excellence in clinical research in non-malignant hematology. The non-malignant hematology group is committed to providing outstanding patient care, and members will be part of the clinical and research mission of the program. There is opportunity to conduct clinical research with existing comprehensive clinical databases and ongoing prospective studies. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity and resources to develop their own clinical research programs. Fred Hutch and University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Teaching responsibilities involve oversight of advanced practice providers and fellows during inpatient and outpatient rotations, and delivery of informal teaching sessions and formal lectures to providers and the general medical community. Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. The ideal candidate should have a record of and primary interest in hematology oncology, with a focus on non-malignant hematologic disorders, especially disorders of coagulation and cellular hematology, as well as an active clinical research interest, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, in the diagnosis and treatment of non-malignant hematology. Applicants must have an MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent), board certification in Hematology, Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology (or foreign equivalent), and must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington. Please describe specific actions you have taken or plan to take to create a collaborative and effective training and mentorship environment in which all trainees and staff can thrive 5. List of three (3) references. The annual base salary range for this position is from $318,350 to $343,181 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank and from $370,098 to $396,745 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank.
