Job Details
The Biology Department invites applications for a non-tenure track, Assistant Professor of Biology position for a 1- to 3-year contract with the potential for renewal.
The successful candidate will teach lecture and lab courses including Microbiology for nursing and pre-health students, as well as other genetics and cellular-based biology courses as needed.
The expected teaching load is 32 credits per year. The position will begin in August 16, 2026. More information about our department may be found at www.carthage.edu/biology.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Microbiology or closely related discipline
- Commitment to innovative development of curriculum or pedagogical practices
- Demonstrated record of successful undergraduate biology instruction
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting a diverse population of students in the classroom
